Small Successes

FaithButton
Time to take stock of those small successes in the past week.  Some don’t seem like much but each is a victory.  Head over to share yours with Sherry at Chocolate for Your Brain.
*I survived a camping trip that I should have said no to.  But I was a good sport and we tried.
*I finished sewing a skirt that I have literally been working on for a year.  Yeah, bought the fabric last summer and here it is.  Not the most flattering shape but comfy for kicking around in.  🙂  Next I have to decide about hemming.  I used the salvage for the bottom “hem” so I wouldn’t have to hem but I’m not sure I like the way it hangs.  And it’s maybe longer than I’d like.  But maybe it’s just for kicking around the house and doesn’t really matter enough for taking that kind of time and effort.  I mean really, at the rate I work it’ll be another year before it’s hemmed 😉
*This morning I cleaned the dish drain.  You would not believe how nasty that can get.
*I’ve been decluttering, sorting, organizing, and purging all week.  It is feeling so good.  Need to do more but I suspect that there will always be more to do.

You sew! You are already miles ahead of me. Me no sew. Not even buttons. Needles are for splinters. That is all.

I understand about there is always more to declutter but you're right, it sure feels great to get some of that stuff gone! Have a great week!

When my kids were at camp last week, I purged as well, but I have so much left to do, too. I did manage to sneak in some sewing, for which I was thankful. The skirt is lovely and simple and looks like it twirls. Did you use a pattern or just wing it?

I've been cleaning and purging and decluttering too. Good luck with it. How is it possible to acquire so much stuff that one really doesn't need?

  4. Oh, boy — the dish drain. Just the thought makes me shudder …….

LOve the material of the skirt!

I'd love to hear from you!
