{pretty, happy, funny, real}

~ Capturing the context of contentment in everyday life ~

Every Thursday at Like Mother, Like Daughter!

This is from our trip to the Katharine Drexel National Shrine.  That’s a statue of Mother Katharine with children in the background.  Everyone from the shrine we passed while walking there told us how much she loved children.

Can you read that clock?  It says 7:10 PM and I took this after the boys fell asleep without a fuss and I was sitting in my chair watching my favorite crime investigation show.  Dishes are pretty much done and I have my feet up.  This is one very happy mama 🙂

New York may have it’s own naked cowboy but I have two.  And they sing and dance.

Clockwise from left: zucchini bread, pumpkin bread, and deceptively delicious brownies.  Nom nom nom.  I love the cool fall weather.

Love the naked cowboys! So cute!

It's been a long, long time since I've had kids in bed by 7:10 pm! Of course that may be because I have several teenagers living in my house, but I still miss those early evenings! LOL!

  2. What a lucky momma to be putting her feet up that early! And the naked cowboys– too cute! Thanks for sharing–visiting from the link up!

  3. Mary Jo says:

Oh how I love the picture of the boys. That could also go in the real category, could it not? And the statue with your little one is perfect. Peace.

  4. Emily says:

Your little boys are just too darn cute!

  5. CarlynB says:

I laughed out loud when I saw your cowboys!

  6. Pippajo says:

I agree those boys are darn cute! And I love the tags still on the cowboy hats! Like they just couldn't wait for the tags to come off before they jammed them on their heads!

And Mmmmmmm to all those lovely baked goods! I love the cool, Autumn weather, too!

What with your getting things done in a timely fashion, and luscious baked goods – you're doing something right! With naked cowboys serenading you, to boot!

  8. adorable little cowboys… must be a boy thing not to like clothing :/

And the baking looks delicious…we made our first batches of pumpkin bread this week… and we'll be making more soon;)
