Yarn Along

Well, as usual I bit off more than I could chew in the reading and project department.  But as you’ll see the scarf is officially off the needles!  Still some lovely ends to weave (oh goodie) but the knitting is done.  I have not cast on the boys’ playfood yet but maybe today…  Then there is also the pretty shawl to knit for my mom and I need to make another attempt at a hat since my first came out so, umm, off.

I also haven’t finished Dracula yet.  Only another 125 pages or so.  But I took out Van Helsing and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen for later in the week, when I’m done.  The WeatherMan borrowed Bela Lugosi’s version to watch over the weekend.  It’s really interesting just how much we know of the story and details of the story without ever reading the original.  It’s also interesting just how much more there is to it than those cultural references.

Check out who else is linking up with Ginny at small things.  There’s always so much to see!

Edited to say – then again maybe not.  I seem to have a puker on my hands.  Poor boy, I was hopeful his fever would break over night but it hasn’t and I don’t want to invite heartache by bringing beautiful yarn into the mix.  😦

I do hope your guy feels better soon and yarn can once again be apart of your day! The scarf looks lovely and I am very interested in seeing your play food!

  2. Ellen says:

Hope he's feeling better and that the stomach bug doesn't spread. Maybe you could model the scarf outside? Be brave! It is so pretty but difficult to see the stitches.

  3. Amy says:

Your scarf looks great! I'm not a fan of weaving in ends either. Hope your little one feels better soon.

  4. Swanski says:

I hope your little one gets better soon (and that you do not get it).

Aw, hope he feels better soon 😦

Scarf looks lovely, hope it doesn't take too long to weave in the ends (I hate that part!)

  6. Rebecca says:

The scarf is such a pretty pattern! Enjoy the rest of Dracula.

  7. Emily says:

Oh no 😦 Hope the sickies go away soon!

And hooray! The scarf looks great!

Can't wait to see the play food.

Oh no! Hope everyone is on the mend. The scarf looks soft and beautiful

I hope he feels better soon. Tummy troubles are no fun.

I loved both Van Helsing (which was on TV this past weekend) and LXG. So many literary references in the latter movie: Alan Quartermaine, Dorian Grey, Captain Nemo, etc.

I'd love to hear from you!
