Guess what! I fixed the hole in my BSJ! Well, it’s still a bit funny looking but it’s not a hole. And I didn’t have to frog more than a few stitches. I’m a little amazed at myself. I might even be able to finish it before July 🙂
Of course there is a reason I was fighting with that. Sadly, I discovered I had dropped a stitch in the shawl I’m working on. Sometime last week. 😦 I’m going to have to undo the entire lace section. And surprisingly I haven’t cried or cursed or anything. I’m remarkably zen about it. We’ll see if I can manage to hold onto that while picking up all those stitches. I just hope I only lose one week’s worth of knitting and not three. I had even gotten three rows knit while waiting at the lab for my orange glup glucose test Monday morning. Then I found the unraveling. At least it explains my off numbers but too bad I didn’t investigate more closely at the time. I’ll spare you the gory details of a photo.
And yet again, in spite of being surrounded by piles of books I’m still not reading anything. Oh I read bits here and pieces there, books to the boys, articles online. But no book going at the moment. I did place a hold on Treasures from the Attic. I just haven’t been in the mood to start anything else. Other than other projects. Maybe next week I’ll really have something done? A tired Mama must have dreams of something… other than dishwashers and sleep 🙂
So I’ll be linking up with Ginny at the Yarn Along today and Crunchy Catholic Momma’s Stash Bash tomorrow. Because making progress is good. And hope springs eternal, maybe soon I’ll have a finished object to show off. I wonderful if it will be knitting, quilting, or a baby at this rate…
hip hip hooray! For fixing the hole, I'm sure it looks great! I hope you passed the test 🙂
Oh tough luck there Kate………I would be bawling my eyes out, with a bit of foot stamping thrown in for good measure, at the thought of having to frog back a lace section……….pretty shawl though.
Well done for staying zen on your frogging. I hope it woks out this time round. I have had to frog what I am knitting twice now! At least the wool I am using is lovely to work with. Jacinta
Way to go, Kate!
Sorry to hear about your dropped stitch! But good job on fixing the hole. Knitting is a love/hate kind of craft sometimes!
