{pretty, happy, funny, real}

~ Capturing the context of contentment in everyday life ~

Every Thursday at Like Mother, Like Daughter!

I’m loving our wee porch garden. And I have never seen a tomato blossom like this before! It’s Cherokee Purple.

Happy little girl helping. Happy mama to have help. Kinda. We wont go into the climbing up onto the sink to get the soap or the dumping of great cups of water all over the counter. The important thing is the happiness.

There are any number of songs that run through my head when I see this song – “you better watch out, you better not cry” a la the Boss, not a cute kids version and “bbbbbbad” being the most common.

At times I’m starting to feel like Mad-Eye Moody with a need for “constant vigilance.” But then she pulls a stunt like this and I realize it’s not paranoia. (She was after the Smarties that she knew were in that cupboard. It was clear I was not responding quickly enough for her liking so she took matters into her own hands.)
