Yarn Along

Man it has been awhile. Not much going on. Other than craziness and there’s no surprise there. I still haven’t picked up my knitting but it is very much on my mind lately. Perhaps once we get through this week. The only question will be picking up the February Lady or casting on a new shawl. 🙂

Reading, being a little easier with crazy kids and cats, has been more productive. I finished Misadventures of a Parenting Yogi by Brian Leaf. It was an interesting read. Part parenting memoir and part book review. A good place to find some inspiration and ideas for dealing with those crazy kidlets. I also read “Rip Van Winkle” and “The Spectre Bridegroom” by Washington Irving. Today brings me to “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.” I’m really enjoying those stories that are so familiar to us without having read the tales. I’m also enjoying Behind the Scenes at Downton Abbey. (I couldn’t help myself when I found it at the library this week.)

Oh go ahead – cast on a new shawl!

  2. New shawl! That pattern is really pretty! I intended to read some of those creepy kinds of stories this fall but just haven’t gotten to it. Last year I listened to Dracula starting in October but this year and that was so fun to listen to during the creepy Halloween season (and on into Christmas and beyond)
