Will you look at what hopped off the needles last night?
I love this pattern. So quick and easy. I’m looking forward to knitting another one, which is saying something. Granted, those snowflake buttons are a major pain in the patootey but they’re perfect. And it’s big enough that it can just go over her head. And I have ladybug buttons to switch to after Christmas. Now to get on with those dino hats while I’m still on a roll…
As for reading, we made a trip to the library on Monday and of course I picked up a few. Now, I read Knit the Season by Kate Jacobs last year and didn’t remember it until I started reading it again. But I got the new Jennifer Chiaverini, The Spymistress. And there is some Amish Christmas fiction available in ebooks so I might download one or two to read while knitting. For my Advent reading I’m enjoying The Greatest Gift by Ann Voskamp. I just wish we had a printer so I could print out her Jesse tree ornaments – they’re beautiful.
Happy Wednesday! Happy Yarn Along!
a cute little cardi! it is on my list for my junebug!
the little cardi is adorable!!! (the buttons are totally worth being a pain!)
I wish I had a little girl to knit that for. It is adorable and I love that it was a quick knit. Great buttons! Thanks for the book suggestions. I just went and downloaded it.
Very cute and looks great on her. Love the buttons.
I bought a pattern for a fisherman’s knit sweater for my kids when they were toddlers…and still have never made one. Sigh…too many projects…too little time…One would think 40 years would be enough time though.
Oh my!!! That is a beautiful cardigan and the buttons, oh I love the buttons 🙂
Very nice, and I do love the buttons. Ladybird ones sound nice too.
that’s such a sweet cardigan! perfect for christmas!
I have made that pattern once before too and love it – your little one is adorable!
the sweater turned out super cute. love those buttons. what is the pattern?
It’s “In Threes.” I don’t usually buy patterns but this one is totally worth it.
While those snowflake buttons are freakin’ adorable, I think I understand what you mean. They look like they would snag in a heartbeat. Baby Girl looks adorable in her new sweater.
Ooh, I absolutely love the colour you chose and the buttons are adorable! (as is your model!).
Adorable! And I love the snowflake buttons! 🙂
Aw so pretty, I love the In Three’s pattern 🙂 Your buttons are adorable, very festive
Lovely colour! Would love to know more about the Amish books please
I haven’t decided what to try yet, our library has quite a few ebooks. I’ll be sure to include it next week 🙂
What a great little sweater on a beautiful model! Love the buttons… so cute!
I love it – the buttons really make it pop!
What an adorable sweater and child! The buttons look wonderful.
I love these snowflake buttons. 🙂 I just put some on a winter hat I knit for my niece. They are so cute 🙂 The cardigan looks great!
so cute! I also knit an in threes for my little granddaughter and need to knit her a new beanie to match. Thankfully, I have yarn leftover that should be just enough! Adorable buttons, by the way!
Okay, one of my all time favorite patterns. Love in the red! I’m about to cast on one in pink tweed from Encore. And maybe a red one after that? Feeling inspired 😉
Hi, Kate! The buttons may be a pain, but they look terrific.
