Oh dear. Not much (knitting) has happened since my last post. Let’s see… Right after that post all three kids came down with pink eye. So there was a week of major hand washing and attempting to put goop into many little eyes. And just when I thought we were in the clear, antibiotics finished and no more gross eyes… I woke up with my eye glued shut. Retched pink eye. So now I am 5 days into my antibiotics. And Monday started a wee little cold (that the Bigger Boy is also showing signs of.) I tell you, it’s just not fair.
But the good news is that I finally got my birthday present – the Adult, Baby, Child Surprise Jacket pattern. Yay! Now to do the math and cast one on for myself. And I anticipate getting a lot of knitting in this weekend because it is retreat weekend! I have been looking forward to this for 6 months. And now I’m really looking forward to it. Really, really looking forward to it.
And with that, I’ll leave you with a shot of my living room. It has nothing to do with knitting or reading but it’s been a rough couple weeks. We’ll get there in the end. But in the meantime, watch out for those Legos.

pink eye!!! I hate that, when mine were little I had to do all four eyes for a week or so to kill the cross contamination…
